A downloadable game for Windows

This prototype explores the concept of asymmetric VR. This means that while one player plays the game on a VR headset the other one plays on a desktop.

In this game, the VR player has to reach the end of a climbing course while the desktop player tries to stop him by shooting him down.

Besides the climbing mechanic, the VR player has to look out for his stamina that is represented by green circles on the back of each hand. Once the stamina depletes, the player will lose his grip and fall.

Even if the desktop player is unable to win, the game is still fun to play around with.

Playing the Game

Obs.: To play the game you must have an HTC Vive or a Valve Index headset! Unfortunately, Oculus headsets are still not supported.

After starting the game both VR and desktop players spawn inside a Menu Level. The VR player is responsible for changing levels by pointing one controller towards the big nearby Menu Buttons that are hovering close to the ground and pressing the trigger.

Levels

Subida ao Topo (To The Top) - This level is the VR climbing game that is described at the beginning of the description.

Anões Raivosos (Angry midgets) - In this game, the desktop player has to reach the VR player. The VR player on the other hand has to defeat the desktop player by shooting arrows with a bow found nearby (Currently hidden by a very dark shadow).

Sorry for the untranslated in-game titles and the minor bugs... But I hope you have a great time playing our game! 😊

So I downloaded the game but was only greeted with an empty plane with only the gun to interact with. I wasn't able to defeat the VR player even though I unloaded every bullet the game had.

The description of the game based off the game page actually sounds really awesome but as this game stands right now, it's not really a game at all.

I do hope to see some development of this idea though because it sounds really fun!

Hey Austin! I'm sorry to hear that. From what you said you started the game at the Main Menu Level and didn't manage to select one of the playable ones. And thas my fault. The VR player is responsible for changing levels, and he does that by pointing one controller towards the Menu buttons that are in an accessible place around the VR player spawn point and pressing the trigger.

I'm sorry for not giving you this information the first time you played.  I will update the game's description right now.

Hope this helps and that you enjoy playing our game! 😊
